In 2010, the Forest Finance Service GmbH became the first German company worldwide to win the FSC™ Global Partner Award in the category “financial services”. With the awards, the FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council) honours companies that raise awareness for the organisation.
“ForestFinance combines investments and ecological, sustainable forestry in a particularly charming way,” says Dr. Uwe Sayer from FSC Germany, explaining the motivation for giving the award to ForestFinance. “The company has always been fostering the recognition of the FSC and its goals and I am delighted to be able to hand this award to a company that has been managing FSC-certified forests for more than ten years.”
In all project countries, we adhere to the guidelines of sustainable forestry; our projects in Panama and Colombia are furthermore certified by Gold Standard, an international Standard that is considered the most stringent and most prestigious of all quality standards in the field of CO2 compensations projects.
For our regional commitment, ForestFinance was awarded the “Ludwig” as the “first winner”. For the first time awarded in 2013, the prize is given by the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), the regional office of the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation and Telekom Deutschland (Zentrum Mehrwertdienste) to regional active companies. ForestFinance had qualified as one of nine companies in the region for the German-wide “Mittelstandspreis”.

For setting an example with its long-term commitment to environmental, climate and species protection, the Forest Finance Service GmbH was honoured as a GREEN BRAND in 2015. Thus, ForestFinance is the first green investment company in Germany entitled to the quality label.
The international, independent brand marketing organisation GREEN BRANDS examines products, services and companies in regard to ecological principles on a regular basis. Only those brands that are verifiable ecologically sustainable and deserve to be appreciated as such on a national and international level are honoured with the GREEN BRANDS quality label.
The environmental magazine natur + kosmos (since 2012 only “nature”) together with an expert committee chose our investment idea “CocoaInvest” to be the future project of the month August. CocoaInvest is an exemplary project “that fulfils ecological, economic and social criteria”. It combines ecological and social commitment with a financial return for the investors.
The selection of excellent “projects of future” takes place worldwide and in cooperation with representatives from twenty natural, environmental and development associations and institutions. The magazine natur + kosmos is the oldest and best-known medium on environmental protection and sustainability in the German-speaking world.
Companize is a platform for employees that allows them to talk anonymously about their employers. This includes comparisons of salaries, image of employers, but also working environment and professional perspectives. The declared goal of Companize.com is to provide more transparency in the working world: “fairer jobs, fair pay and fair companies.” ForestFinance was rated on Companize and received the seal “Top Company Image”, with the average 4.75 points out of a total of five.
The sustainable portal “Rank a Brand” is eager to improve transparency in branded products and corporations. Our ForestFinest chocolate was honoured as the best chocolate in 2015! ForestFinance ranked first among 504 branded products and companies. ForestFinest chocolate again received the best possible rating “A” in 2016.
